Stained glass of European rank
Legend holds that the church goes back to a foundation by Bishop Cunibert of Cologne (around 600), who was buried here. Its greatest treasure is the medieval stained glass in the choir – among the most important of its era in Germany. After severe wartime destruction the church was rebuilt into the 1990s.
