A former municipal museum in the Bayenturm (founded 1907), destroyed during the war in 1943 – no longer in existence.

The Museum of Pre- and Early History was a municipal institution founded in 1907 in the Bayenturm on the Rhine bank of the Südstadt. It offered an overview of regional history from the Neolithic to the early Middle Ages.
