Benedictine Convent of Cologne
Active convent of the Benedictine Sisters of the Most Holy Sacrament in Cologne-Raderberg, founded in 1890 and still home to a community of nuns today.
The convent has repeatedly sent sisters out to establish new foundations, most recently a daughter house in northern Düsseldorf. It is led by a prioress elected every six years.

The convent's founder, Josefine Karoline von Fürstenberg-Stammheim, died just three weeks after moving into the newly built Herz-Jesu convent, which she had financed with her own fortune, and was buried there.
History
The Benedictine nun Josefine Karoline von Fürstenberg-Stammheim first served as prioress at the convents of Bonn and Viersen. After returning from exile in Tegelen in the Netherlands, she founded the Sacred Heart Convent in 1890 together with 13 sisters, financed from her own fortune. The first house stood on Domstraße in Cologne, before the community moved to Brühler Straße in Cologne-Raderberg in 1895. The founder died just three weeks after this move and was buried within the convent. Emmanuela Kohlhaas led the community from 2010 to 2022, when Sr. Veronica Krienen OSB was elected as her successor.
A Changing Community
Around 1925 the convent was home to as many as 70 nuns. On 8 August 2022, five sisters were sent to Düsseldorf-Angermund to help establish the newly founded St. Catherine's Convent, which today counts six sisters among its community.
