Iddelsfelder Mühle
Former water mill on the Strunde in Cologne-Holweide: a fulling, cloth-fulling and grain mill that also powered a threshing machine.
Little is known so far about the actual history of the mill. The surviving records, however, reach back to the 13th century.

The Iddelsfelder Mühle was a fulling mill, cloth-fulling mill and grain mill all at once, and it also powered a threshing machine.
Many Tasks Under One Roof
The mill was used for a wide range of work. It operated as a fulling mill and as a cloth-fulling mill. At the same time, it ground grain as a corn mill. Its water power also drove a threshing machine.
Iddelsfeld Estate and the Bützler Family
The estate of the same name, Gut Iddelsfeld, has been mentioned since 1222. In connection with the mill's history, Heinrich Bützler is also named. He was a stream and forest bailiff (Bach- und Waldschutheiß). In 1744, both offices passed to his son, Jakob Bützler.
The Mill Today
The building on the Strunde is no longer in operation as a mill. The City of Cologne has entered it in its list of monuments, which means it is a protected heritage site.
