The festival in showcase and experience zone
The historical section uses films, images and documents – including the 1827 minute book of the festival-organising committee – to tell the story of carnival through the ages. An experience zone makes the city's greatest popular festival tangible. Around 1.3 million people watch the Rose Monday parade alone each year, Germany's biggest procession.
Visitor note
Owing to the renovation the museum is currently closed. It is best to check the latest reopening information in advance.
