Müngersdorf sits in the west of Cologne and belongs to the Lindenthal district. The neighbourhood owes its nationwide fame to the Rheinenergiestadion, home of football club 1. FC Köln, and to the highly regarded German Sport University Cologne. Thanks to its setting within the city's outer green belt, Müngersdorf also ranks among Cologne's most sought-after residential areas.
