THE QUIZ ROOM

Instead of guessing along in front of the TV, you stand at the buzzer desk yourself: no audience, but a host from the team guides you through your own quiz show over roughly 60 minutes. Each quiz consists of six different categories plus a finale. Sometimes it's multiple-choice questions (A, B, C, D), sometimes picture puzzles, guessing songs or sorting things – buzzing and pressing buttons take turns. You collect points and play for the title of quiz champion, or you can compete in teams against each other. Several quizzes are available, including various quiz mixes, an English-language quiz, a school quiz, a Cologne quiz and quizzes for different occasions and age groups.

The quiz suits groups of friends, families, colleagues, school classes and larger parties. Studio 1 has six buzzer desks and room for 3 to 24 people; up to 6 people play solo at the buzzer, beyond that in teams of two, three or four per desk. Studios 2 and 3 each offer five desks for 3 to 10 people. Larger groups of 24 to 50 simply book several studios at the same time and play the same quiz simultaneously. There are dedicated rates for school classes (15 € per person, free entry for the accompanying adult) and teenager birthdays (18 € per person).

The price depends on group size: it starts at 34 € per person for three participants and falls as the group grows, down to 22 € per person for 13 or more. Payment is on site by cash or card; companies can also pay by invoice after filling out a form. Book online or by phone at 0221 423 142 70; the venue is open daily from 10:00 to 21:30.
