The Rooms
The room "The Traveller" is designed for groups of 3 to 7 people aged 16 and over. The storyline follows a researcher who was hot on the trail of something – and has since disappeared herself; your goal is to complete her mission. "Magical Music Machine" accommodates 3 to 8 players aged 11 and up – someone is plotting to hypnotise all of Cologne, and an ancient machine is the only antidote. For younger guests and families, the same story is available as an adapted family edition, also for up to 8 players aged 11 and over.
How It Works
The core concept is the same across all rooms: your group has 60 minutes to solve puzzles and accomplish a mission. Each solved puzzle unlocks the path to the next step. The doors are never locked. A gamemaster watches the action via cameras and can discreetly offer hints whenever needed.
Outdoor and More
Beyond the escape rooms, Spybrain's Südstadt location also offers self-guided smartphone city rallies as well as a premium version complete with a puzzle backpack. Additional activities include the so-called Bollerbattle – an outdoor challenge involving a hand cart and nine tasks – and a puzzle table available to rent for use at home.
