Worringen Castle – Site of the 1288 Battle
Worringen Castle was a fortress of the Electorate of Cologne on the left bank of the Rhine, before whose walls the famous Battle of Worringen was fought in 1288. Built in 1275 and destroyed in 1288, nothing of it survives today.
