Origins and Planning

The park grew out of a grassroots initiative: Aik Matzerath, who was 13 years old at the time of the entry and had been championing the project for four years, collected nearly 1,000 signatures. Timon Luu, world champion in wheelchair skating, was involved in the planning process.

Layout and Use

Visitors describe the overall site as spacious. The street section and the mini bowl/park section are laid out separately from one another. The facility caters to both skateboarders and wheelchair users performing skate tricks.
