Halls & equipment

The Residenz is spread across three halls: two larger ones with around 275 and 149 seats, plus a small, exclusive club cinema with about 35 seats. The 2012 redesign deliberately reduced capacity compared with the original auditorium – row spacing is markedly wider, which creates plenty of legroom and leaves room to serve guests at their seats. In place of classic flip-down chairs there are adjustable leather armchairs.

Service & dining

The cinema sees itself as an upscale picture house with its own service. Before the film or during the screening, guests can be served right at their seats – from drinks to wine, sparkling wine or champagne. For events, the halls and foyer can be booked together with service staff.

Location & getting there

The Residenz sits centrally on Kaiser-Wilhelm-Ring in Neustadt-Nord. Cologne's main station is a few minutes away on foot, making it easy to combine a film with a trip by train or city rail.
