Rose Garden

A symmetrical rose garden by Fritz Encke on a former fortress fort – in summer a fragrant sea of blossoms in the green belt.

The Rose Garden of the City of Cologne lies on the Neusser Wall on the site of the former Fort X of the inner fortress ring. The symmetrical garden was designed by the municipal garden director Fritz Encke.
