Weckmann

A Weckmann is a pastry baked from yeast dough in the shape of a person, often fitted with a clay pipe. It is eaten in the Rhineland and Westphalia regions, especially around St. Martin's Day and St. Nicholas' Day. Regionally, it also goes by names such as Stutenkerl or Weckmännchen.
