Electoral-Cologne

Kurkölnisch denotes belonging to the Electorate of Cologne, the secular territory of the Archbishop and Elector of Cologne. It extended beyond the archdiocese and comprised widely scattered possessions in the Rhineland and beyond. The archbishop was at once spiritual leader and secular sovereign.
